If your student is living on campus this fall, remind them to check their UD email for important messages about Move-In
Does your student have academic questions?
If your student has questions about their schedule, classes, labs, or other advising questions they should reach out to their academic college. Contact information for each college and other great academic information can be found on the Advising Central Website.
Please complete this survey to provide feedback on your NSO experience as a family member, reflecting on both the virtual orientation content and live NSO programs (if applicable). Thank you for engaging with our Family Newsletter content each week!
Encourage your student to review all modules of the online orientation course in Canvas - it’s full of information about campus resources that will prepare them to start this fall!
For New Student Orientation (NSO) or 1743 Welcome Days questions, email otp@udel.edu.
For other questions, or, if you’re not sure where to start, email families@udel.edu.
Each week, we will share some questions that can help you have engaging conversations with your student about their NSO experience:
Ask your student: "Have you seen your class schedule in UDSIS? Are you considering making any changes to it? If so, have you contacted your advisor for advice about that before doing it yourself?"
Note: Most students won’t be able to see their schedule until after August 1
Ask your student: "What do you know about 1743 Welcome Days and how do you plan to participate?”
Once the 1743 Welcome Days schedule is available to download in mid-August, make sure to review it and mark events that interest you.
Ask your student: "How are you planning to stay connected with other students and make friends this semester?
