There’s a meal plan for every appetite.
Students living in a traditional residence hall are required to have an on campus meal plan. Students not living in a residence hall, because they may be commuting to campus or living off campus in an apartment in University Courtyards or in family housing, are eligible for both the on campus and voluntary meal plans.
Meal plans consist of a balance of meals, points and guest meals. Meal plans are per semester and points rollover until the end of the spring 2022 semester. Each on campus meal plan also includes 5 guest meals which can be used to treat friends, family, or even themselves if they run out of meals. You can also pay for guests at the door with points, cash or credit.
The Fall 2021 On Campus Meal Plans are the Premium All Access, All Access, 14 Weekly and 175 Block plans.
Our two All Access plans give students unlimited meals to use in UD’s three all-you-care-to-eat residential dining halls -- centrally located Caesar Rodney Fresh Food Company, Russell Dining on East Campus and Pencader Dining on Laird Campus. These plans are designed for students who like to snack throughout the day, want several full meals or don’t want to have to worry about budgeting. They are the best value at $8.94 per meal. With full access and no restraints, these plans are a great value for anyone.
The 14 Weekly plan is the default meal plan for all incoming students. Students will be automatically assigned and billed for the 14 Weekly plan, consisting of 14 meals per week and 200 points. Once on campus, students can choose to keep the 14 Weekly or change their plan to another on-campus meal plan by September 14th. This meal plan provides structure and peace of mind knowing 14 meals are set each week, resetting every Sunday.
Our 175 Block plan loads all the fall semester’s meals on the card at once and declines like the balance on a gift card. This meal plan features the most points at 500 and averages twelves meals per week, which makes it ideal for students who plan to frequent our retail restaurants and coffee shops. This plan is great for students have fluctuating schedules and can budget their meals as needed.
Students can select or change their meal plan any time until move-in. After move-in, students can change or select their meal plan one time up to September 14th when meal plans will be finalized. At any time in the year students can add more points to their meal plan through the Dining Request Form in UDSIS. Visit our meal plans page to learn more and find the right meal plan for your student. Our website also features all dining locations and hours, FAQs, and contact information for Dining Services if you have any other questions or concerns.
