Residence Life and Housing is excited to share finalized move-in dates! We will continue our 'new normal' move-in process, which utilizes a centralized check-in and 2-hour move-in appointments. The appointment system allows the university to manage traffic patterns throughout Newark and reduce bottlenecks in the halls.
All students will receive their move-in appointments in the second week of July. Appointments will occur between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. on the move-in days. Upper division students (rising sophomores, juniors and seniors) will move in on Saturday, August 28 and first year students will move in on Thursday, August 26 and Friday, August 27. First year students move in a little early to take part in 1743 Welcome Days orientation programming.
After receiving your move-in appointment, you will have a brief window to reschedule, and more info will be included in the mid-July email from our department.
When will rooming assignments be out?
Fully agree with previous comments. My rising sophomore has never been on campus. So he has 48 hours to settle in? NO orientation. Your departments really need to work together. Student life reps on the video call-ins said...see more
I also agree with previous comments. This is my sophomores first year as well and last year was barely a year for people. Please reconsider
