As a Blue Hen family member, we consider you a partner in your student's educational experience and with that, we want to share the details of what your student can expect in their New Student Orientation (NSO).
NSO is a roadmap to becoming a successful Blue Hen and includes several components:
- A live NSO program, which they can participate in on campus or virtually, their choice!
- A self-paced online orientation course through Canvas, UD's learning management system, with six unique modules:
- Section 1: Welcome to UD and NSO! - open now!
- Section 2: Important Academic Information & Resources - open now!
- Section 3: Blue Hen 101 - opening July 5
- Section 4: Health & Wellbeing - opening July 5
- Section 5: What’s Next? Preparing for Fall - opening July 5
- An academic-advising appointment within the college that houses their major, as well as the opportunity to meet others from their college as part of a Meet Your College session
- A variety of live Zoom information sessions about important topics, including housing, dining, student financial services, and more, offered throughout July and August. All of the session dates, times, and registration information is available in their online NSO course calendar and within the Blue Hen Family Hub Calendar.
Students should log in to their My Blue Hen Home today to learn more, including how to register for each of these activities.
