Everyone must be proactive in guarding against the risks that device viruses present. As well as causing problems on a student's infected device, viruses, spyware, adware and other malware on a student device puts the campus network and the entire UD community at risk. To protect their device(s) students should ensure that they have installed antivirus software and be aware of UD’s computer cleanup policy. The computer cleanup policy is designed to encourage students to avoid loss of network access and the inconvenience of losing the use of their computer.
For free antivirus software options, we recommend:
- Mac Users: Avast Free Mac Security AntiVirus package
- Windows Users: Windows Defender is already built into Windows 10
