Student Health Services (SHS) is located in Laurel Hall, a freestanding ambulatory care center on the main campus south Green area at the intersection of South College Avenue and East Park Place. This well-equipped facility provides medical treatment and office consultation space for a variety of outpatient services.
In addition to the Laurel Hall facility, the SHS provides medical
services in support of the university athletic program in a sports
medicine clinic located in the Bob Carpenter Center.
For the health and safety of our students and our Student Health Staff, Student Health Services is not accepting walk-in visits at this time. Students can call Student Health Services at 302-831-2226 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays to speak with a nurse, who will help guide them in making an appointment and the safest way to enter the Student Health Services building. Medical advice is also available to all UD students after business hours on the Aetna After Hours Nurse Medical Advice Line at 800-681-3957.
Drug and Alcohol Amnesty: The University of Delaware prioritizes student safety over sanctions, and encourages students to seek help immediately if they or a peer are in need of medical attention while under the influence of drugs or alcohol. All students involved in an active call for help are eligible for exemption from related conduct sanctions. Learn more about amnesty protocol.
