The scourge of pornography and sexual addiction is a widespread phenomenon that is wounding individuals and relationships. Rachael Killackey, Founder and Executive Director of Magdala Ministries, joins the St. Thomas More Oratory (45 Lovett Avenue, Newark, DE 19711) this February 16th at 7:00 p.m. to speak on the theme, “Finding Freedom in a Pornified World,” to help the UD community confront the reality of sexual addiction, to overcome the stigma and shame associated with it, and to find freedom from pornography through living in light of the true goodness of the gift of sexuality. A reception will follow Rachael’s talk.
Rachael is a Colorado native (depending on your definition of native) who earned her bachelors and masters degrees in theology from Ave Maria University. After beginning to share her testimony in college, Rachael has had the privilege of hearing dozens of beautiful stories of healing from sexual addiction, and is pursuing certification in sexual addiction therapy. Aside from Magdala, she has worked in diocesan ministry and the pro-life movement. Rachael married her husband, Tommy, in 2021 and they now live in Tampa, Florida, where she enjoys the beach (almost) as much as she enjoys the mountains.
